The San Antonio Clean Technology Forum is renown for the quality of its substantive issue and knowledge-sharing programs. This will prove to be one of our most informative Forum’s with a former top official of the US DOE, the head of the State Energy Conservation Office, and the Genral Manager of CPS Energy.

Speakers:

  •  Paul Dickerson providing special insight on the most important initiatives coming from the federal government in particular and the US DOE in particular in the area of Sustainability and CleanTechnology.                                     
  • The Texas State Energy Conservation Office will likely receive $285 million in federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (AARA) funding by mid-July 2009.  Dub Taylor will explain the program areas and potential recipients of the various components of this funding.
  • Steve Bartley will provide an update on CPS Energy’s recommendations for future energy supply to our region.

 

Paul Dickerson, a recognized leader and sought-after speaker on issues of clean tech and energy efficiency, launched Haynes and Boone’s Clean Tech practice group in 2008. Paul, a partner, offices in the firm’s Houston and D.C. locations.

Paul served as Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) from January 2006 until his return to Haynes and Boone in October 2008   He oversaw the EERE’s $1.8 billion budget and helped move alternative and renewable energy technologies from the “vision” stage to real-world development.

Dub Taylor, Director, Texas State Energy Conservation Office, has been a good friend of the San Antonio Clean Technology Forum ever since he and Texas Speaker of the House, Joe Straus provided excellent presentations to our group of then 32 Participants in April 2008.

Steve Bartley is the interim General Manager of CPS Energy.
